Kapitbahay
Welcome to our site archipelago, where we ask: What preferable futures do Filipinos envision? Who are charting paths and taking tangible actions to get us there?
About this directory
Through collaboration, we believe anything grounded in radical imagination is possible.
As we come to grips with the seemingly insurmountable, from the climate crisis to online polarization, we draw strength from the voices in our community who dare to shape our culture, rather than passively participate in it.
The stories and dreams they share prompt us to reconfigure our relationship with technology — modeling how we can use it to address local issues and take better care of each other.
Kapitbahay is a budding directory of the people we’ve come across while building Studio Bisita, through our collaborations, online, or IRL gatherings.
By making our network open-source, we hope to facilitate the cross-pollination of ideas and visions for a more livable Philippines. May this remind us that while we seem like fragmented islands, we are never truly alone.
Like the archipelago we inhabit, we are grounded beneath the surface in a shared ecology and collective identity.
